Caps United coach Takesure Chiragwi has criticised his players for losing concentration and celebrating too early after their dramatic 3-2 victory over ZPC Kariba, warning that such lapses nearly cost the team a much-needed win.

Although his side ended a four-match winless streak with a spirited comeback performance, Chiragwi said he was concerned by his players’ tendency to switch off after scoring.

“There are some things that we need to work on, mostly our concentration level.

“There was a lot of drama, but at the end of the day you just need to concentrate until the last whistle,” he said.

Despite his frustration, Chiragwi praised his players for showing character and resilience to recover from difficult moments and secure victory.

“I want to appreciate the boys for their resilience in coming back and working very hard to get the three points, which is exactly what we wanted,” he said.

“I think this win has boosted the morale of the guys and also their confidence
