Former Dynamos captain and Zimbabwe International, Emmanuel Jalai has charmed owner of Durban City Farouk Kadodia with his leadership qualities, four months after Betway Premiership side.
With Durban City set for a clash with TS Galaxy in the final of the Nedbank Cup on May 2, Kadodia believes Jalai will play a key role having played to lead The Citizens to glory having done it with Dynamos before.
Speaking to South African media, the Durban City owner has been impressed by Jalai leadership qualities and is optimistic that he will lead The Citizens to the Nedbank glory.
“I trust in the senior players that they will do their job to convince the younger players about the importance of the final.
“I told him how important this cup is to me and the Durban City FC team,” said the Durban City owner.
According to ibunda.co.za Kadodia has been impressed with the leadership qualities of Jalai.
“He said that in the last three games he was impressed by Jalai the way he showed leadership to the younger players on the field,” wrote ibunda.co.za.
Since joining the Durban based side in January from Dynamos after impressing at the Africa Cup of Nations Tournament held in Morocco in December, the former Dynamos skipper has featured in 12 matches for The Citizens.
He has played nine Betway Premiership League matches and three Nedbank Cup matches.
