Dynamos FC have suspended head coach Genesis Mangombe with immediate effect pending investigations into a series of alleged acts of misconduct, according to a notice issued by the club’s Board of Directors.
In a letter referenced DFC/GM02, Dynamos informed Mangombe that the suspension follows “numerous complaints and allegations” made against him by some players for forcing players to use juju and concerns over his alleged conduct towards members of the club’s Executive Committee.
The club said the decision was taken to facilitate investigations without interference.
“The employer (Board of Directors) has resolved to suspend you from your duties as Head Coach of Dynamos FC effective immediately,” the letter states.
Dynamos added that the suspension “will pave way to allow further investigations into the plethora of allegations raised against you without any interference from you or any other interested party.”
Among the allegations cited by the club is insubordination during a post-training meeting held at Glamis Arena on June 18, 2026.
According to the notice, Mangombe was summoned to attend a technical meeting after training where he was informed of complaints reportedly raised by players.
The letter alleges that goalkeeper Idrissou Nfor Finiar accused Mangombe of forcing players to “bath in juju before games.”
The club said similar allegations had previously been made by Christopher Netty, senior Dynamos players through their captain, and Stanley Billiart.
The notice further claims that players who refused to comply with the alleged directive risked being excluded from matchday squads.
Dynamos also accused Mangombe of showing disrespect towards club officials during the June 18 meeting.
“Your allegedly disrespected members of the Dynamos Executive Committee who were talking to you during that post training technical meeting by challenging them,” part of the letter reads.
