Just at a time Herbert “Jompano” Maruwa was in serious discussions with both Triangle United and Agama, another vacancy has arisen at his former club Dynamos.
Maruwa held serious talks with Agama on Tuesday while Triangle United have also been pursuing the highly rated coach.
But Maruwa, who led TelOne to a respectable fight position last season, before parting ways with the Gweru side, is now a top contender for the Dynamos job.
DeMbare suspended Genesis Mangombe on Tuesday following allegations that the gaffer was forcing players to use juju.
Mangombe also exchanged harsh words with some members of the Dynamos executive last Thursday.
An insider says Mangombe even declared that he would not care if he was to be fired.
The gaffer has been linked with a move back to Triangle United.
A Serbian coach who was spotted at Barbourfields when DeMbare drew 1-1 against Bosso on Sunday is also being lined up to take over the reigns.
However, some influential people at Dynamos want Maruwa to return at the Glamour Boys.
Coincidentally, Mangombe replaced Maruwa when the latter was fired back in 2023.
Although Mangombe is just on suspension, chances of him returning are next to none.
“The executive has already made their decision and they are sticking to it.
“The decision was made soon after the 1-1 draw against Highlanders and they are not going back,” a source told Game On.
