2025 World Test Champions, South Africa are set to tour Zimbabwe for the first time in 12-years for an eagerly anticipated cricket tour between the two African ICC full member countries.

South Africa’s tour to Zimbabwe will be their first since 2014 and notably the first Test encounter between the sides since the memorable Boxing Day Test held in Port Elizabeth in 2017.

The upcoming series offers fans and players alike an exciting revival of cricketing rivalry and regional camaraderie.

Both Test matches are scheduled to be played at Queens Sports Club in Bulawayo, offering an ideal setting for Test cricket with its historical significance and vibrant atmosphere.

The T20I Tri-Series, which also includes cricketing giants New Zealand, will be entirely staged at Harare Sports Club, ensuring intense and fast-paced cricketing action.

Zimbabwe Cricket Managing Director, Givemore Makoni, expressed enthusiasm about the forthcoming fixtures against the Proteas and New Zealand, highlighting their importance to Zimbabwe’s cricketing calendar.
”This is the biggest international home season we have had in years.

“It is an incredible opportunity for our players to test themselves against two of the world’s cricketing powerhouses.

“Hosting South Africa and New Zealand for both Test cricket and an exciting T20I Tri-Series is a fantastic development for the growth of the game in Zimbabwe,” said Makoni.
