BRITISH coach, Mark Harrison, could bounce back in Zimbabwe, as his name is being mentioned at some struggling Castle Lager Premier Soccer League clubs.
Harrison is currently jobless after leaving Mozambican giants UD Songo, with whom he attained second place position in the 2024 Mocambola.
The Briton has now been linked with a sensational move to newly promoted Zimbabwe Premier Soccer League side Scottland, who have been inconsistent under Tonderai Ndiraya.
For a team that is considered the richest in the local league, Scottland have evidently punched below their weight.
They have three wins in eight matches and have not won their last three encounters.
Mabviravira are currently five points behind log leaders MWOS going into the midweek fixtures.
According to insiders at Scottland, what is irking club owner Pedzai Sakupwanya is that the club’s rivals MWOS have been on a fine run under Lloyd Mutasa.
Scottland and MWOS were embroiled in a grueling race in last year’s Northern Region Division One race, with the former eventually winning the title after a controversial boardroom decision.
Henceforth, Scottland coach Ndiraya, is literally a dead man walking as he prepares to face tricky Herentals at Rufaro on Thursday.
Authorities at the club are already pondering the future, with names like Harrison being thrown into the fray.
“Yes, there has been talk about Ndiraya’s future given the inconsistency of the team.
“It’s not a secret that Scottland owner Sakupwanya expected not only wins but exciting football when he invested millions into this project.
“But at the moment he is getting none of the above,” a source at the club said.
With one win in eight matches, Dynamos’ coach Lloyd Chigowe is also under fire, just like Chicken Inn’s Joey Antipas who also has 12.5 percent win rate.
It could be early days but Triangle United have already changed their technical staff, replacing Luke Masomere with Genesis Mangombe three weeks ago.
Game On understands that Triangle United also considered Harrison before settling for Mangombe.
Harrison coached CAPS United and Harare City between 2015 and 2018, winning a lot of hearts with his refreshing brand of football.
He led Harare City to the 2018 Chibuku Super Cup finals.
The Briton has also coached Kenya giants Gor Mahia and Township Rollers of Botswana
