Zimbabwe continued with their unwanted history in the red-ball format.
Zimbabwe suffered a 328 run defeat to a second string South Africa with a day to spare in the first Test match of a two match series at Queens Sports Club.
Chasing a target of 505 runs to win against the World Test Champions, it was not to be the case for Zimbabwe as they were bowled out for 208 runs on Day Four of the first match.
The defeat by South Africa ensured that Zimbabwe continued with their poor form on long format of the game as 328 run defeat was their 13th defeat in 18 matches in the last five years.
During the said period Zimbabwe has won on two occasions whie three matches ended in draws.
Zimbabwe’s wins have come against Afghanistan and Bangladesh.
