AUSTRALIA based Zimbabwean striker, Yolanda Kanyai, is the latest foreign based player to join the Mighty Warriors camp in Luanda, ahead of Thursday’s Women’s Africa Cup of Nations qualifier against Angola.
The highly rated Kanyai has now linked up with other foreign based players Danai Bhobho and Emmaculate Msipa who flew straight into Luanda from their bases.
Bhobho plies her trade in Tanzania while skipper Msipa is based in Israel.
“Australia based Mighty Warriors’ striker Yolanda Kanyai has joined the team in Angola ahead of tomorrow’s match,” ZIFA advised on Wednesday morning.
Zimbabwe play Angola in a First Round first-leg qualifier at the Estadio Joaquim Dinis on Thursday.
The return leg is at the Lucas Moripe in Pretoria a week later.
The winner of the tie will face Malawi in the second round for a place at next year’s finals in Morocco.
The Mighty Warriors have not qualified for the AFCON finals since 2016.
