Ngezi FC Platinum president, Takawira Maswiswi, is set to officially step down from his role as club president on December 31.
Maswiswi is set to be replaced by current Vice- President Adminstration and Commercial, Wadzanai Mutsakanyi.
Maswiswi, who took over the presidency from club patron Stanley Segula, had a successful stint at the helm of the Mhondoro platinum miners, leading them to a Castle Lager Premier Soccer League title in 2023.
Ngezi Platinum Stars went on to represent Zimbabwe in the 2024-25 Caf Champions League edition.
Unfortunately, they were knocked out of the tournament in the preliminary round by DRC side As Maniema.
The stepping down of Maswiswi comes at a time when the club recently announced a new executive.
The club is expected to make the announcement, and Game-On8 is reliably informed that Stanbic who are set to sponsor the club starting next season have requested a seat in the board as part of the sponsorship deal.
Wholesale and Retail giant OK is understood to be in discussion with the platinum miners, to be one of the club sponsors.
The new executive will be led by chairman Leonard Musariri who is making a sensational comeback.
Silene Gavi held fort, as an acting chairman, since the resignation of Musariri last year.
