AFTER guiding Zimbabwe to next year’s Africa Cup of Nations finals, German coach Michael Nees is now focusing on World Cup qualification.

The Warriors nchor Group C with two points, five behind the trio of Rwanda, South Africa and Benin after four rounds of action.

There are still six games to play and Nees believes the campaign can be turned around.

Zimbabwe will “host” Benin in their next World Cup qualifier on March 25, 2025.

“The group has not been decided yet, and we have to see this as a new project.

“We have to try everything and hope to turn it around,” says Nees.

Brazilian coach Brito took charge of the opening two qualifiers against Rwanda and Nigeria which ended in draws.

Jairos Tapera then presided over the two losses against Lesotho and South Africa.

Nees will take charge of his first World Cup qualifier against Benin.

“We will also use these qualifiers as preparations for the 2025 AFCON, so I would say it is a double project
