CBC outshines Falcon College in T20 matches

Christian Brothers College (CBC) was the biggest winners against Falcon College in four T20 matches played at CBC grounds on Wednesday.

The two sides clashed in four categories namely the first team, U-16A, U-15A and U-14A.

CBC recorded three wins against Falcon College single victory.

First to record a win was CBC’s first team, in Wednesday first match of the afternoon.

Having won the toss, CBC chose to bat and posted 143 runs for the loss of six wickets in their allotted 20 overs with Dillon Pettican hitting 41 off 18 balls while Saxon Pettican scored 26 off 42 balls.

The total proved too big for Falcon as they were restricted to 78 runs for the loss of eight wickets in their allotted 20 overs.

Michael Chimedza claimed four wickets for a mere 17 runs to lead the CBC Cobras to 66 run win.

In the second match, pitting the two schools U-16A, Falcon batted first before they were bowled out for 74 in 20 overs.

CBC chased the target in 17 overs scoring 76 runs, to record a two wicket victory to see the hosts claiming their second victory of the afternoon.

CBC continued with their dominance over the visitors as they recorded their victory of the afternoon, as they beat Falcon U-15A by 99 runs.

CBC posted 131 runs in 20 overs for the loss of nine wickets before bowling out Falcon U-15A side for 82 runs.

Falcon did not go home empty as they found a consolation win in the last match of the afternoon pitting the two sides U-14A’s.

Falcon Batted first scoring a total of 138 runs for the loss of eight wickets in 20 overs.

The CBC U-14A’s were bowled out for 100 runs, which saw Falcon College recoding their first victory of the afternoon.
